These terms explain registration and WAA warranty support for products sold through an authorised agent or independent retailer. They identify the seller, installer and applicable programme. A separate commercial agreement governs the relationship between WAA and the partner.

These terms apply to new orders where supplied and accepted for the transaction. They do not retrospectively replace terms already accepted or remove an earlier warranty, paid entitlement or non-excludable right. Any change to an existing agreement requires an appropriate separately agreed variation.
D1 One registration process
These terms provide a common registration process for POE, under-sink RO and Benchtop products. Registration links the product and serial number, customer, purchase evidence, dispatch or installation date, installer, address and any eligible Life Care Pack. Each machine is recorded separately, including multiple machines at the same address.
Please register promptly and supply accurate information. Registration assists service and entitlement administration. Failure to complete a form within a short period does not remove statutory consumer rights or automatically invalidate an otherwise provable two-year WAA product warranty.
Supply the authorised reseller or agent business details, end-user contact and installation address, actual seller, model and quantity, individual serial-number photographs, reasonable purchase or contract evidence, installer and completion date. Record each machine separately; an address is not restricted to one registration.
WAA sends a registration confirmation after processing the submitted information. If confirmation has not arrived within two business days, contact support@wateranalytics.com.au or customer service to check progress. Keep the confirmation and request correction of any error. A missing automated email does not itself invalidate a provable warranty.
D2 WAA contract through an agent
If your order and invoice identify WAA as seller, WAA Consumer Terms apply. An authorised agent may arrange a supply-only sale with installation separately contracted by you. Life Care can be included only for an eligible POE 3 when purchased and recorded with that order. POE 4 UV has no Life Care option.
WAA covers its product obligations. The independent installer is responsible for its own workmanship unless WAA contracted to provide that installation. Where investigation confirms a WAA product fault, approved remedial labour is handled under Consumer Terms and Conditions clause A7.
D3 Independent retailer contract
If another business buys wholesale and sells to you under its own contract, that business is your seller and must meet its own obligations. You may approach that seller for applicable consumer remedies; WAA product warranty support is also available under Consumer Terms and Conditions.
An independent retail sale does not automatically include WAA Life Care or WAA direct-order promotions. Life Care is available through such a retailer only under an express written WAA-authorised programme and its registration and activation requirements. The accepted programme identifies benefit administration and any exceptions. Registration does not convert the retailer's contract into a direct WAA sale or transfer the installer's workmanship responsibility to WAA.
These customer registration terms do not replace a separate B2B supply agreement between WAA and a wholesale buyer. Independent retailers set their own resale prices; any WAA recommended price is a recommendation, not a compulsory minimum resale or advertising price.
D4 Information and communications
An agent or retailer submitting customer information must have an appropriate basis to provide it and explain the registration purpose to the customer. Registration information is used for product records, warranty, service and applicable benefits under Privacy Policy.
Submitting a warranty registration is not blanket consent for unrelated marketing. The customer may manage marketing preferences separately without losing statutory warranty rights.
D5 Partner responsibilities and limits of authority
Only a WAA-authorised agent may present a customer contract as a WAA sale. The customer must be told who sells the goods, who invoices or collects the purchase price, who provides installation and which business is responsible for each obligation. An independent retailer must use its own seller identity and must not imply that registration changes the seller.
Provide applicable warranty information with the product. POE 3 has a conditional lifetime warranty for its original purchaser, including supply-only customers, whether or not Life Care is purchased. POE 4 UV has a two-year express warranty and is not eligible for lifetime extension. RO and Benchtop machines do not receive a POE extension. Explain maintenance and separately purchased Life Care accurately; do not promise free PP, a move-home gift or direct-order promotions where the channel does not provide them.
WAA contract sales through authorised agents may qualify for the applicable Life Care and referral programmes. Independent retailer sales require separate written authorisation for WAA Life Care; they do not automatically qualify for WAA-funded referral rewards. The retailer is responsible for promotional promises it makes outside its WAA authority. Earlier accepted WAA promises remain protected.
WAA can handle agreed filter orders, reminders and applicable entitlements directly with the end user. Registration alone does not create an unlimited obligation to hold stock, supply free filters, schedule installation or grant credit. Those services follow the applicable accepted order and programme terms.
D6 Product warranty and claims
For direct WAA orders, the ordinary two-year product warranty starts on actual WAA installation completion, or on dispatch for a direct supply-only order. For stock held by an independent retailer, it starts on verified installation completion for the end customer, or delivery to that customer where installation is not required. Earlier wholesale dispatch and later form submission do not move this starting date.
POE 3 additional conditional cover requires replacement main filters purchased directly from WAA and actual component maintenance under Consumer Terms A9 and A17. It does not require Life Care. POE 4 UV remains on its two-year warranty without Life Care or lifetime extension.
S2 and S3 are assessed separately on a 12-month replacement cycle plus six-month grace, based on actual use and replacement dates. PP normally changes every six months; a late PP change alone does not end additional cover. WAA-caused delays and late records or actual late changes are handled under Consumer Terms A9 and A17, including evidence correction and case-by-case restoration decisions. Registration and purchase alone do not prove that replacement occurred.
Product defects are WAA responsibilities under its warranty, including necessary parts, labour and transport. The independent seller or installer remains responsible for its own sale and workmanship obligations. External plumbing or accessories not supplied by WAA are not WAA-manufactured products; damage and remedial responsibility are assessed by cause, without excluding statutory remedies.
Contact WAA using the first-page details with purchase evidence, machine and serial details, dates, symptoms and available photographs or service records. WAA will investigate, arrange reasonable inspection and explain remedy and timing. If necessary, an independent inspector may be agreed. A covered WAA product fault includes approved reasonable inspection and repair expenses.
Seek WAA approval before non-urgent local repairs. For regional work the reference labour allowance is $150 for the first hour and $80 for each further hour, adjustable to the actual agreed work. Send the approved quotation, itemised invoice and payment evidence for reimbursement. Necessary covered transport is included. These allowances and advance-approval arrangements do not restrict remedies required by law.
D7 Consumer guarantees
The following statutory notices apply according to whether you purchase goods only or goods and services. WAA's express warranties are additional to these rights. A two-year warranty, registration requirement, maintenance condition or Life Care eligibility rule does not set a time limit on rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Goods only
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Goods and services
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:
to cancel your service contract with us; and
to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.
You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods.
If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion.
You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
D8 Separate commercial agreement and complaints
The separate written commercial agreement between WAA and the partner governs appointment, wholesale prices, payment dates, freight, stock, insurance, marketing permissions, benefit settlement and termination. This registration document does not replace that agreement. A special partner programme must be identified in writing and cannot remove a customer's accepted or non-excludable rights.
Independent retailers determine their own resale and advertising prices. WAA recommended prices are recommendations only. WAA employee or genuine agency quote-authority rules must not be imposed as minimum resale prices on independent businesses.
WAA and the partner should cooperate to investigate customer problems and must not direct a customer away from a seller obligation merely because WAA also provides product support. Contact WAA about a disputed record or warranty decision. Nothing excludes consumer or other non-excludable legal rights. Changes apply prospectively and do not cancel an existing customer promise.
D9 Product records
Register the actual machine model, colour variant and serial number, with the relevant customer, seller and installation record. Distinguish the machine from its replacement filters. A direct WAA sales-code policy does not set an independent retailer's resale price or alter a written wholesale agreement.
